3.2.2 Thread. The thread shall be 100 percent cotton, Tex size 30, 2 or 3-ply, or Tex size 60, 3- ply, in accordance with Type I or II of A-A-52094. As an alternate, a 2-ply cotton or staple polyester-covered, polyester core thread, Tex size 25-30, 2-ply may be used, in accordance with Type I or II of A-A-50199. The color of the thread shall be as follows:
